Install ZEDFINITY
on Windows.
One setup file, a standard installer, and a Start menu shortcut — everything you expect from a Windows application.
1. Download the setup file
Open the download section and click Download for Windows. You get a single setup EXE — there is no zip to unpack, no portable folder to manage. Verify the SHA-256 checksum published next to the download if you want to confirm the file exactly matches the release.
2. Run the installer
Double-click the setup file. The installer offers the standard options: install location (Program Files by default, with a per-user option), a Start menu shortcut, and an optional desktop shortcut. It also registers a proper uninstaller under Windows Settings → Apps.
3. About the SmartScreen warning
Because ZEDFINITY is a new, independently built application, Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC" when you first run the installer. This appears for every new program without an established download reputation — it is not a virus detection. Click More info, then Run anyway. Publishing checksums and building a download history removes this over time.
4. Sign in with your Telegram account
Launch ZEDFINITY from the Start menu and sign in:
- Phone number — enter your number, receive the code in your official Telegram app, and enter it.
- QR code — in the official Telegram app go to Settings → Devices → Link Desktop Device and scan the code. The login appears in your Telegram device list as "Zedfinity Cloud Windows" and can be revoked there at any time.
Two-step verification is supported when enabled on your account.
5. Turn on Vault encryption
In Settings, enable Vault encryption. Every new upload is then encrypted on your PC before it leaves — the stored data in your cloud becomes unreadable without your device. The padlock turns green when Vault is active.
6. Optional: auto-backup folders
In Settings → Backup, add the folders you want watched — your Pictures library, a scans folder, an exports directory. Any new file that appears in a watched folder uploads automatically while ZEDFINITY runs. See the auto-backup guide for details.
Updating and uninstalling
Updates install over the top — download the latest setup and run it; your library and settings are preserved. To remove ZEDFINITY, use Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → ZEDFINITY → Uninstall. Your files stay in your own cloud regardless; only the app is removed.
